A LONG TIME IS SPENT RESEARCHING THE MOST ECO FRIENDLY SUPPLIERS IN THE UK.
See below to find out who we use and why!
Alter/Native - owned by Suma cooperative, we choose to buy a small selection of their body wash, shampoo & hair conditioner in 20 litre containers to reduce a huge amount of plastic. These are unfortunately not refilled after they are empty - but so far we've given them a second use on Freecycle!
Bio D - our usual supplier of cleaning products stopped production during lockdown, so in the meantime we used Bio D as a substitute. They are great eco-friendly products but once they run out here, we don't have plans to restock as the containers are not reused.
Blue Lotus - a small, locally run business who create organic skin care products. We love them for their amazing, refillable hand sanitiser! So gentle on skin, smells amazing and contains 70% alcohol.
Cole & Co - based in Wales, we love working with these guys who make beautiful smelling products who help create a completely circular system by accepting back their empty bottles to wash and reuse time and time again! We currently stock their hand wash and body wash, but look out as we will be adding more in the future too!
Earth Conscious - Uk based, natural hand made deodorants. Theses are by far the best eco friendly deodorants I have tried, lovely fragrances and easy to use! My favourite is the Spearmint & Peppermint tin!
Faith in Nature - we've stocked their body wash, shampoos and conditioners since the very start. They are lovely natural products, but sadly they do not clarify that the empty 5 litre bottles are washed and reused, and with other fabulous options now available, once these have run out, we don't have plans to restock.
Fill - These guys make brilliant, eco friendly cleaning products, they are simple, but smell great and do exactly what you need it to. The best part is they accept the empty 20 litre containers back, to wash and reuse!
Fushi - based in London, Fushi launched their 'Go for Zero' range last year which we are so proud to be a part of. We currently stock the popular 'bringer of peace' body lotion and have recently added the enzyme face wash too. Their 'Go for Zero' range means they take back and reuse the empty containers, even the 1 litre sizes!
Paulas Handmade Soap - Paula and I met at Shipbourne farmers market and now we stock her beautiful soaps in store! Not only do they look amazing, they are palm oil free, plastic free and antibacterial!
Zero Waste Club - we love them because they are so transparent, sharing message from the makers of all their products, how much they are paid and more. They also produce much needed eco friendly alternatives such as biodegradable kitchen sponges and scourers!
